Oh Danny Boy!

Danny Lawrence has been invited to represent England in the Cedet Six Nations event in Dusseldorf on 17-19th June. Danny may be a Kent lad and indeed occasionally as a player he can thwart Sussex's ambitions but in recent times he's attended a number of coaching and competion opportunities in Sussex (including the Sussex Elite Centre in East Grinstead for over a year) so we're entitled to share a small part of his growing fame!

All the best Danny in your international adventure.

Cheer Up!

17/4/11

Kate Cheer was runner-up in u11 English Schools Individual Final on Saturday (16th April), only losing in the final to Stephanie Cross (3-0). To get to the final she had to beat her ESTTA teammate Denise Payet in a match that went to 5 sets, 14-12 in the decider.

On Sunday Kate played in the Regional championships and the South-East team came fifth. She won four out of her five games only losing to Denise Payet 3-1 in the last match. Kate and Denise are so close and have been so for over the whole season, standing at three wins each. They are evenly matched and the rivallry shows no sign of ending anytime soon!

Kate also beat ESTTA teammate Amy Blaborough 3-0 and Holly Billsborrow - a couple of great wins as they are above her in the ranking list.
